Regional Accounts Receivable Resource
Position Summary:
This person will lead and support the Business Office Manager position in all Accounts Receivable functions for several Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing facilities in California and Nevada.
The role is “home based” but requires you to be in these facilities approximately 60-100% of the workweek (minimum 3 days per week of travel).
Must have Business Office Manager experience in a nursing home, hospital or similar facility.
Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in LTC industry in a billing and management capacity
Current knowledge of billing and collections in long-term healthcare environment
Current knowledge of PCC billing software preferred
Resident Trust Funds Knowledge/Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and specifically Excel
Ability to modify communication style to the various personalities encountered at facility, regional, and corporate levels – ensuring a professional demeanor at all times
Full understanding and knowledge of current LTC payors
Minimum High School Diploma
BA/BS degree in Business or related major is preferred
Responsibilities:
Cover for/sit in for any open business office manager’s positions when vacant or existing staff is on vacation/out of office.
Create, review, and submit claims for all payer types.
Bill and collect from all payor sources as required including managed Medicaid programs.
Conduct audits of problematic payer types, analyzing solutions and resolving outstanding collection issues as assigned.
Trains and supports business office staff as needed
Skills:
Ability to functions independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
Ability to follow all company policies and safety precautions.
Effective and positive verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to interpret and implement regulations.
Must have initiative and the ability to kindly manage through delegation, goal setting, earning respect from all nursing staff members through use of positive leadership principles.
