Position Title: Carnival Sales Lead

Position Purpose:
Provides leadership and guidance to Carnival Ticket Sellers while carrying out the duties of a Carnival Ticket Seller.
This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days.

Essential Functions:
Instructs Carnival Ticket Sellers in on-the-job duties as directed by the Carnival Sales Fair Staff Supervisor.
Coordinates and schedules breaks for Carnival Ticket Sellers.
Assists in the training and development of Carnival Ticket Sellers.
Walks to and from assigned ticket booths to assist sellers and patrons.
Assist sellers with any logistical difficulties (i.
e.
voids, computer issues, technical difficulties, booth issues etc.
)
Provides excellent customer service to Fair patrons by, answering questions, providing information and resolving customer issues.
Secondary Functions:
May sells carnival game and ride tickets, electronic ticket cards, and wristbands to patrons during the annual OC Fair.
Provides accurate change and maintains accurate inventory of all tickets sold and unsold.
Processes credit card purchases and reconciles all credit card receipts at the end of each shift.
Verifies and counts change for Carnival Ticket Sellers at the end of each shift.

Qualifications:
Previous experience handling and exchanging money accurately required, along with the ability to balance out at the end of each shift with minimal discrepancies, if any.
Previous cash handling and credit card transaction experience required.
Ability to respond with patience in difficult interactions with fair patrons
Must be able to lead other employees by positive example.
Must be familiar with different types of tickets and be able to operate a ticketing system.
Must be detail-oriented with the ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
Preferences:
Previous leadership experiences a plus.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Will work in a fast-paced, environment in an indoor and possibly outdoor environment during all types of weather.
