*_ *Learn more about your job:* The Case Aide will provide administrative and case support to eight staff providing home studies and post release services.
The Home Study (HS) and Post Release Services (PRS) Case Aide works with Children's Bureau's Unaccompanied Minor program and provides administrative and case management support to staff and supervisors based remotely and locally.
*Duties and Responsibilities:* * Conducts routine calls to clients to assist with coordination of services.
* Identifies appropriate community resources ensuring they are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
* Assists with client applications and referral forms.
* Accompanies clients (or provides virtual support) to facilitate school enrollment or additional services enrollments, as needed.
* Replies to emails and phone inquiries regarding current programs and provides detailed explanation to clients and staff.
* Provides ongoing administrative support, such as filing, making copies, maintenance of electronic and/or physical files ensuring accurate case records and documentation.
* Assists with the preparation of documents and reports as required.
* Maintains a current client resource and referral list.
* Ensures all time sensitive program and team deadlines are met.
* Supports agency initiatives related to Trauma Informed, Resilience-Oriented Care (TIROC) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*General:* * Maintains confidentiality in matters of agency operations, personnel, and clients.
* Maintains positive communications with all agency staff, clients, and visitors.
* Exercises good judgment in performance of duties and responsibilities * Supports existing agency policies, principles, and mission.
* Other related duties as assigned.
*Job Qualifications:* * Associate Degree.
* Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, International Studies, or Human Services related field preferred.
* A minimum of 1 year of experience working with families and children.
* Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work independently * Position is hybrid and the candidate must have an appropriate workspace to complete documentation, client phone calls, and video conferencing.
* Ability to think analytically and apply sound judgment.
* Ability to use sound judgment to detect unusual, harmful, or emergency situations and act accordingly.
* Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Advanced knowledge and fluency in Spanish (a language proficiency assessment is required); and proficiency in English required.
* Dedication to the human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced people.
* Think creatively to identify resources in unfamiliar communities.
