In this unique role, we are seeking to hire someone with a blend of business and counseling experience to join the team and help accelerate our ability to make a positive impact.
Job Duties:
* Administer various student assessments to determine key criteria and framework for student development.
* Administer personality and interest inventories (Myers-Briggs test)
* Administer achievement and aptitude tests to help students identify valuable insights and core strengths (conduct CASAS, Criteria Basic Skills Test (CBST), and Employee Personality Profile (EPP) testing)
* Provide counseling services for students considering a career change or need career and job search assistance
* Evaluate the educational and work backgrounds of students and help define a career path with key milestones to focus on.
* Create individual employment plans (IEP) for each student, based on their background, interests, and strengths
* Assist students in resume writing and interviewing skills
* Connect clients to relevant resources in the community
* Continue to follow up with clients to ensure IEP is up to date and continue to assess the client’s employability options
* Create the outline of the program used to assist students with career counseling and action plans
* Create the business and operational process and procedures to ensure quality and consistent services are provided to students at scale.
* Train current or new employees on administering the comprehensive assessments and provide career coaching.
Assessments include: Myers-Briggs, CASAS, EPP, and CBST
* Assist with customer service inquiries to ensure customer success
* Assist in any other administrative tasks
* Create required business analytics reports
* Successfully engage with the leadership team to ensure a smooth and successful operation is created with consistent expectation across the board.
* Create all required documents, runbooks, presentations, procedures etc as required.
* Attend staff meetings as required and provide timely progress reports.
* Manage website and general administration.
* Assist with marketing tasks and other projects as requested by management.
Skills required:
* Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in applicable field of study/education from an accredited college or university.
* Demonstrated experience with experiential or project-based learning.
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process.
* Demonstrated success in effectively solving challenging problems through a positive, collaborative approach.
* 3+ years of experience in the college admissions process, either guiding high school students in their application process or serving at the college level in admissions or career counseling.
* Dedication and expertise in counseling a range of students in the career planning and college process, including those whose families have long been oriented toward college as well as those for whom college application and attendance is a new and unfamiliar.
* Evidence of high levels of organizational skills and the ability to work closely and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in the school.
* Interest in the mission and educational goals of Futurelink
* Knowledge of the financial aid process.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work with diverse populations.
* Strong Microsoft Office/Outlook proficiency
* Typing 55+ WPM
* Very Tech Savvy
* Ability to successfully work in a team environment
Travel:
This position is in the Inland Empire and applicants should be comfortable commuting to offices in Corona, Riverside & Moreno Valley as required.
Any travel outside of these primary locations will be eligible for mileage reimbursement.
