FirstCarbon Solutions is searching for a Finance Associate (CG03) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have Deltek Vision experience and a strong background in accounting and administrative functions, be familiar with organizational policies and procedures, and exhibit independent judgment in managing workflow within the Accounting/Finance Division.
This role will report to the Accounting Supervisor and play a crucial role in serving both internal clients and vendors while assisting with administrative tasks and projects.
Salary Range: $50,150 - $59,000

Work Environment
This position operates in a dynamic and highly collaborative working environment.
FirstCarbon Solutions values flexibility and offers hybrid home/office work arrangements.
However, this role is expected to work at the Irvine Office at least one (1) day per week.
Standard office equipment is routinely used in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative and Accounting support functions such as but not limited to:
Responsible for mail management: opening, scanning, and distribution
Responsible for coordinating Accounts Payable, including reviewing and posting vendor (overhead) and sub-consultant invoices, issuing AP checks, and ensuring payments are processed in a timely manner
Collections: Contact clients with past due invoices, document client responses, and collaborate with Project Managers and the Accounting Supervisor to address client invoice concerns or questions
Cash receipts: Responsible for all aspects of handling deposits, including scanning, receiving, reviewing, and processing.
Post cash receipts daily, address short payments with Clients and/or Project Managers, and assist in reconciling A/R balances
Client Invoicing: Review invoices prepared by the finance team for accuracy, process client invoice packages with all applicable backups, progress reports, and project labor detail reports, and email them to clients
Client Portal Management: Maintain Master Client Portal Workbook and upload invoice packages to portals as required
Certificate Of Insurance: Track sub-consultants insurance requirements (COIs, etc.
)
Sales Summary: Prepare weekly sales summary and send it to Upper Management
Expense Reports: Review and assist with Expense Reports
Employee Equipment List: Maintain Employee Computer Equipment list monthly
Provide backup to the Finance Team during PTO
Perform additional assignments as directed
Education and Experience
Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent job experience.
Progressive years of related experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with experience in Deltek Vision a plus
Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
