General Summary: Provide clerical assistance to Intellectual Property Assistants, Patent Attorneys, and Patent Scientists.
Work cohesively with team members and attorneys by providing efficient support of administrative tasks and client service.
Responsibilities:
Prepare USPTO and client documents and form letters.
Prepare reports using CPI docketing software, the internet, and the firm’s intranet.
Assist with creation, collection, and organization of client files and binders.
Scan documents, rename, and file appropriately in firm’s electronic client file management system.
Enter attorney time in firm’s time tracking system, auditing and revising as necessary.
Download issued patents from specified resources.
Conduct and participate in training as necessary.
Complete other duties as assigned by IP Assistants, Attorneys, or Scientist.
Qualifications:
Previous clerical experience is preferred.
Excellent proofreading, spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be efficient, accurate, timely, flexible and have excellent attention to detail.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Team player and a positive attitude is a must.
Must meet minimum testing requirements.
Able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
Base salary for this position is $45,000-55,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.
m.
to 5:30 p.
m.
Hybrid/Remote options available.
This position depends upon the ability of the employee to work closely with attorneys and staff members during regularly scheduled hours.
This position requires ability to work overtime, which often cannot be predicted in advance.
