Residential Child Care Worker / ages 6 -13

Wednesday-Sunday 3-11pm or Fri - Sat- Sun 3-11pm New Alternatives is seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our team.
New Alternatives works with children and youth at their residential home site who have experienced child abuse.
The applicant will gain experience working within a residential treatment setting and will learn the skills necessary for de-escalation, emotional support, and behavioral support with clients at a high level of care treatment placement.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred.
* Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance and have access to reliable automobile * at least 6 months of experience working with children (volunteer work is acceptable) * _Responsibilities include but are not limited to_ _:_ * Provide support to the child and family * Ensuring the safety and supervision of the clients.
* Assist in coordination of transportation of youth.
* Capability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with the child and family * Applicant needs to have patience, compassion, and confidence to work with a population of clients have severe emotional dysregulation and behavioral instability.
* Maintain updated accurate daily log of services provided Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $38,000.
