Job Summary:
As the Bar Manager, you will play an integral role in the Beverage Operations.
You will help ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience and do everything possible to make sure the entire staff is organized and prepared to help the guests in any way possible.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Restaurant and Bar as MOD.
Oversee the service of beverages within the Restaurant and Bar.
Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers.
Ensures that invoices are reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
Assists in improving restaurant and bar sales, coordinating marketing strategies such as special offers and promotional activities that will achieve success.
Build sales through guest satisfaction.
Assist in meeting financial goals by increasing bar sales, reducing labor, supply, and inventory costs, monitoring budgets and sales goals.
Monitor guest experience during their visit, making sure that they receive the best food and drink service possible.
Resolving any issues while the guest is still on premises.
Follow up with staff and kitchen if issues need to be addressed.
Perform the following functions on a daily basis: planning, purchasing, sanitation, staff management, and recordkeeping.
Motivate staff and be a leader that creates a team environment to meet appropriate goals.
Create and encourage open communication between other manager and staff members.
Scheduling Bar staff members according to the needs of the business.
Follow proper inventory control for bar operations.
Perform monthly physical liquor inventories for restaurant.
Ability to describe all menu items and daily specials, prices and methods of preparation.
Supervise the dining room daily operations when MOD is not on the floor to ensure smooth guest experience.
Check assigned opening and closing side work for all Food and Beverage staff.
Verify each server’s daily drop and ensure that it gets into the safe.
Assist Restaurant Manager with supervising and coordinating the activities of service staff, host/hostess, and bartenders, including scheduling, evaluating, progressive discipline, hiring and firing.
Ensure that staff is trained on POS, processes, procedures, company policies and safety.
Verify that company, state and federal policies are followed by managers, supervisors and employees.
Monitor actions of the staff members and guests to be sure that safety standards and liquor laws are obeyed.
Place orders and schedule deliveries for restaurant and any restaurant special events.
Requires great communication skills, both verbal and written and possess computational ability and computer skills.
Be knowledgeable of policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent feedback both positive and corrective and address corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
Direct cleaning of Bar to maintain sanitation standards and keep appropriate records.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, communications, decrease turnaround times, streamline work process and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless guest service.
Assist with other duties as directed by management.
Must be able to learn to use all necessary computer software programs.
Must possess a valid ServSafe Food Handler Card and RBS Certification to maintain employment.
