Dance Instructor Needed Tuesdays

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Tap and Jazz Dance Instructor for Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm to join our team.
As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching various dance styles to students of all ages and skill levels.
Your role will involve creating engaging lesson plans, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver dance lessons in Tap for ages 2-3 and Jazz for ages 11-13 - Teach proper dance techniques, including body alignment, posture, and coordination - Create choreography for performances and competitions - Provide individualized instruction to students based on their skill level and goals - Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve - Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment - Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events - Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques through professional development opportunities Skills: - Strong classroom management skills to effectively engage students and maintain discipline - Ability to manage behavior issues and create a positive learning environment - Experience working with children of different age groups, including preschoolers - Knowledge of theater and performance arts is a plus - Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and provide feedback - Ability to plan and organize lessons according to the needs of the students - Passion for dance education and the ability to inspire students We offer competitive pay rates based on experience and qualifications.
