00 per hour* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* _*This is a part-time position with the potential to move into full-time if desired.

*Under the supervision and direction of the Preschool Director, instruct and care for children in preschool level activities to promote social, physical, and intellectual child development.
Assist in planning, supervising, coordinating and implementing the daily activities of the preschool program.
*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Develop and implement weekly lesson plans.
* Plan and implement the daily program for children.
* Supervise children; help with meals, maintain a clean and orderly room.
* Teach children to think creatively, problem solve independently, teach respect to others and self.
* Monitor and assess student progress.
* Work to prevent injuries/accidents and react appropriately if they occur.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children and their families.
* Conduct parent conferences advising parents of growth/development of child.
* Conduct daily health checks on each child as they sign in for the day.
* Oversee supervision of all indoor and outdoor activities.
* Maintain close and open communication with Director, staff and parents.
* Report suspected abuse to Director.
* Perform other related duties as requested by Director or other administrator on site.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* * Bi-lingual in Chinese/English is desired but not a requirement.
* Must speak, read and write English well enough to communicate with children, staff and parents.
* Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR; current TB test required.
* Able to successfully complete background investigation and drug screen.
* Mentally react appropriately and immediately in unexpected circumstances.
* Required to stand up to 95% of the workday.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and to frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
*EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:* * Minimum 12 core Early Childhood Education college credits/units required.
*It is greatly desired that qualified candidates meet ONE of the following requirements:* * Associate’s degree from an accredited or approved college or university with major emphasis in Early Childhood Education and 2 years of teaching experience in a licensed preschool center.
* Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis in Early Childhood Education and two years teaching experience in licensed preschool center.
* Transcripts will be required.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.
