We provide project based learning to create relevant and meaningful educational experiences and we use a variety of assessment strategies to ensure a thorough understanding of student learning.
Successful Hebrew Academy teachers have:
* A true passion for a pedagogically rich, engaging, creative and diverse teaching experience;
* A California teaching certificate in multiple or single subjects;
* At least three years of demonstrated, successful experience teaching in a self-contained classroom;
* A proven track record of passionate, charismatic, student-centered approach to teaching;
* Proven track record demonstrating recognized standards of instruction and effective methods of assessment, including but not limited to differentiated instruction, inquiry based learning and authentic assessment;
* Proven track record of using current best practices to create a classroom community that embraces the whole child, incorporating SEL and relationship based learning; training and experience using Positive Discipline, restorative justice, reflective practices a plus;
* A desire to serve as a role model to students, teachers, and parents;
* A strong work ethic and skills to collaborate;
* Commitment to preparing students for high school, college, or seminary and beyond; and
* A desire to participate actively in a vibrant school community.
