Secondary Humanities Teacher

*Veritas Classical Academy,* a K-12 Classical, Christian School in Southern California, is hiring a full-time teacher.
We are seeking an engaging and talented *Secondary Humanities Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
*The vision of Veritas is to create a Christ-centered community and culture by discipling students to delight, discern, and display the glory of God in Jesus Christ in every area of culture.
*Responsibilities:* * Teach humanities courses to secondary school students, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking.
* Implement a classical Christian curriculum, incorporating classical literature, history, and philosophy.
* Create engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s educational philosophy.
* Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and character development.
* Provide constructive feedback to students and actively engage in their academic progress.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
* Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
*Qualifications:* * Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Majors in Literature, History, or Latin are preferred.
* Prior experience (2-5 years) teaching humanities at the secondary level.
* Familiarity with classical Christian education principles.
* Member of a Reformed or Evangelical Church * Commitment to integrating biblical worldview into the learning environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
