Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team.
As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students of all ages and skill levels various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, and more.
You will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students while fostering their love for dance.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver dance lessons to students of different age groups and skill levels
- Teach various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and more
- Create choreography for performances and recitals
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives and student needs
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure discipline is maintained
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events
- Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field of dance education
Skills:
- Experience working with students of all ages, from early childhood to adults
- Strong knowledge and expertise in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, or other dance styles
- Ability to teach and demonstrate dance techniques effectively
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Passion for educating and inspiring students through dance
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Experience in choreography is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of music editing software is a plus
