Interim Music Teacher

_Anneliese Schools Interim Music Teacher Position_ _Start Date: Immediately_ _End Date: TBD — two-to-three-month commitment, current music teacher is on Family Medical Leave.
_ _Anneliese Schools is accepting applications for a skilled interim elementary school music teacher for choir, beginning music theory, and band, including woodwind and brass instruments.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching music and who enjoys motivating and engaging children to develop their vocal and instrumental music skills.
_ _Program and Job Description_ _This music program serves 3-through 12-year-old children.
In the lower age groups this is primarily through a vocally driven, multi-language curriculum.
As students grow, this evolves to include instrumental music.
Our school has world language program including German, Spanish, French, and American Sign Language.
Music instruction and community concerts include songs in American Sign Language, Latin, Hebrew, Japanese, and other languages that represent the student body and culminate with Holiday and End-of-Year performances.
All students are invited to sing and sign (ASL) in the Laguna Beach Patriots Day Parade, and the 3rd Grade Recorders, 4th Grade Beginning band, and 5th/6th Advanced band all participate if they choose to.
_ _This position is a full-time, Monday through Friday at our Willowbrook Campus in Laguna Canyon, with Friday afternoons at our Manzanita Campus.
_ _Qualifications: A degree in music education is preferred.
Knowledge of Orff and Kodaly methodologies is a plus.
Ability to teach beginning music theory and brass and woodwind instruments is needed.
