ESL Tutors and Substitute ESL Teachers Needed

Our accredited institution has been offering quality ESL programs to college-aged international students since 1982 with campuses in Los Angeles, Irvine, and Rowland Heights.
We are currently seeking substitute ESL teachers for morning and evening shifts.
*The morning classes run from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm Monday through Thursday (18 in-person teaching hours).
* *The evening class schedule would be 5:30 pm to 10:20 pm Monday through Wednesday and 5:30 pm to 8:20 pm on Thursdays (18 in-person teaching hours).
* *We also offer two professional development sessions per quarter led by our Academic Director and Head Teachers to guide our faculty in developing and/or learning new skills and methods.
* _We frequently promote our high performing teachers to Head Teacher, Academic Director, Campus Director and Director positions.

*Teacher Duties and Responsibilities (for instructors teaching over one week)* * Develop individual lesson plans that align with the school curriculum * Teach adult international students in-person with average class size of 10-15 students * Design engaging and interactive lessons for adult ESL learners * Assign homework and projects to students via our online platform * Administer quizzes and tests * Grade students' work and provide constructive feedback * Record attendance and grades using the school's system * Submit monthly / quarterly reports for private tutoring students * Attend bi-quarterly faculty meetings & participate in professional development *Teacher Requirements and Qualifications* * Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the Education field * Teaching ESL certificates / credentials * 2+ years ESL/EFL teaching experience (preferred) * Virtual teaching experience required * Strong communication and presentation skills * Computer proficiency: MS office, Zoom, Google Classroom, Cambridge LMS * Ability to learn and navigate new online platform Thank you for reading through the entire ad.
