_ *BALLET DANCE TEACHER* *- Job Description –* Sounds of Color Studio, Orange County’s best music and creative arts school, is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Ballet Dance Teacher to meet our growing demand.
Primary responsibilities include teaching Ballet dance classes for students ages 4 and up.
Classes should help students develop proper ballet form and technique in a fun and engaging learning environment.
Live performances and dance recitals are expected regularly throughout the year.
*Job Requirements:* * To plan and teach ballet dance classes for groups of students ages 4 and up * Prepare students to successfully perform in multiple ballet dance recitals year-round * Maintain student engagement and ensure timely progress and skill development * Prompt communication with parents/guardians and timely updates on student progress * Prepare and clean up the classroom area before/after each class * Clean background check and medical clearance (Live Scan fingerprint clearance with Department of Justice and FBI is required prior to official start of employment) * Reliable transportation *The Ideal Candidate Will Have:* * Engaging and friendly personality * Comfortable working with groups of students of various ages and skill levels * Independent worker with excellent time-management skills * Strong organization and planning skills * Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written * Effective classroom management skills * A strong background and passion for ballet and dance performance * Experience teaching ballet dance classes is required *Job Type:* * Contract (Part-Time) * In-Person *CURRENT CLASS SCHEDULE:* _Subject to change based on enrollment and demand.
_ * Wednesdays (5pm-6pm) * Saturdays (11am-12pm) Sounds of Color Studio is open Monday - Saturday.
Weekday hours (Monday - Friday) are "after school" typically between 2PM - 8PM.
Saturday hours are 9 AM - 3 PM.
