Reports To: Substitute Coordinator/Vice Principal FLSA Status: 30 to 35 hours weekly/Exempt
Salary Range: $56,320 - $74,064
Description: Applicants will be a full-time substitute teacher able to instruct high school aged students in multiple
subject areas and follow written curriculum lesson plans.
This individual must be faithful to the teachings of the
magisterium of the Catholic Church in all aspects of his or her personal and professional life and will be a role model
for high school aged students.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily sub assignments with the school’s Substitute Coordinator
• Deliver lessons provided by the classroom teacher to all students in various disciplines and classes
• Effectively manage student behavior
• Assign work to be carried out by students
• Report academic progress and behavior of students
• Communicate with other members of the school’s staff as needed
• Participate in staff, group or other meetings related to the school
• Supervise students outside of the classroom (assigned lunch duty)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills – Including reading, interpreting, writing
• Proficiency in the delivery of curriculum at the secondary level
• Ability to maintain classroom control and deal effectively with unusual situations including student medical
or school emergency situations to ensure the safety of the students and staff on campus
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Prior high school teaching experience strongly preferred

light lifting and carrying; occasional standing and walking; and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Occasional hand
use and finger dexterity needed to use computer keyboard and operate standard office equipment; occasional pushing,
pulling, grasping, and reaching may also be required.
Good hearing is required when communicating on the telephone
or in person.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment described herein is representative of those an employee encounters
while performing the essential function of this job.
Primarily office environment with controlled temperature
conditions and exposure to environmental factors and hazardous physical substances are minimal and pose little to no
risk of injury.
Occasional driving to meetings and/or events may be required.
EMPLOYMENT AT-WILL: The employment relationship between the School and Staff Member is considered “at-will”
in accord with general employment practices in California.
Under this employment relationship, Employee is free to
end his/her employment with the School for any reason at any time, with or without notice.
Likewise, the School may
end Employee’s employment at any time, with or without cause or notice, pursuant to this “at-will” provision.
No
manager, supervisor, or employee of the School shall have any authority to enter into an employment agreement,
express or implied, with Employee providing for employment other than at-will.
With the exception of this employment
“at-will” provision and the Arbitration Agreement, any of the terms and conditions of employment with the School
may be modified at the sole discretion of the School with or without cause or notice at any time.
