Reports To: Vice Principal of Student Formation and Leadership FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - $20/hour Monday – Saturday (up to 12 hours a week) Description: The successful candidate is to be an exemplary role model for the athletes, school, and community.
JV Assistant Cheer Coach is responsible for developing plans, and delivering effective practice.
Be knowledgeable and skilled in tumbling and stunting to ensure the safety of all program participants.
Be a professional, organized, and dedicated Coach.
The Coach is responsible for assisting with scheduled practices and supervising the team at school football and basketball games and any other activities to promote school spirit.
A coach is to be an exemplary role model for the athletes, school, community, and District.
The successful candidate shall recognize that the purpose of athletics is to promote the physical, mental, moral, and emotional well-being of the individual athlete.

, the integral formation of students’ faith, intellect, and character) • Must exhibit a deep appreciation for the Catholic faith and a commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church • Demonstrate a strong initiative and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment • Ability to develop and foster superior rapport with parents, students, and staff Primary Responsibilities • Act as a liaison between the school and the community to promote a positive image for Pep Squad, Cheer • Manage the team during practices, games, and other events • Attend games sports events, and general school events throughout the school year • Attend camp during the Summer • Be available for team games practices • Clean routines • Teach new skills as applicable • Coordinate with Head Cheer Coach and Advisor • Aid in communicate with parents Knowledge & Abilities • Highly organized and procedural thinker • A passion for one's subject matter • The ability to develop rapport with adolescents • A respect for the teachings of the Catholic Church • A strong desire to work in a Catholic school environment • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines with minimal oversight or supervision Education & Experience • High School graduate, Bachelor’s degree preferred The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Position requires the ability to perform occasional light lifting and carrying; occasional standing and walking; and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Occasional hand use and finger dexterity.
The demands of an extended workday (practices, games, events, etc.
) require a high level of physical endurance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment described herein is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential function of this job.
Athletic setting with high level of physical activity.
Professional business office setting, as well as athletic/fitness setting.
General environment requires employee to be flexible.
This work includes standing and walking, including up and down stairs, moving up to 25-pound boxes, etc.
Evening and weekend hours will be required.
EMPLOYMENT AT-WILL: The employment relationship between the School and Staff Member is considered “at-will” in accord with general employment practices in California.
Under this employment relationship, Employee is free to end his/her employment with the School for any reason at any time, with or without notice.
Likewise, the School may end Employee’s employment at any time, with or without cause or notice, pursuant to this “at-will” provision.
No manager, supervisor, or employee of the School shall have any authority to enter into an employment agreement, express or implied, with Employee providing for employment other than at-will.
With the exception of this employment “at-will” provision and the Arbitration Agreement, any of the terms and conditions of employment with the School may be modified at the sole discretion of the School with or without cause or notice at any time.
