Fit First is a youth fitness company based in Orange County, California.
Fit First was developed as a training company, to help children develop healthy active lifestyles.
We offer a range of classes and training options for students, across many different sites in Orange County.
We currently offer a mix of summer and school-break camps, birthday parties, contract classes run through different organizations, and private training, as well as many different classes including (but not limited to), yoga, dance, football, baseball, tennis, swimming, boxing, etc.
We are always striving to build new fun and exciting classes for our students to enjoy, and help them develop their active lives.
Currently, we are looking to fill the role of a parkour instructor.
This will start out as an instructor class once a week, and will develop into multiple class and private training slots.
The parkour instructor will also have the opportunity to teach other classes as well, if desired.
This class will run as part of our after-school programs, so it is important that applicants have AFTER SCHOOL hours available, and be able to commit to a class time for the length of the school-year.
Applicant responsibilities will include:
-developing class plans for parkour instruction
-setting up and cleaning up class area
-managing up to 10 students at a time
-completing an hour of class instruction once a week
Additional responsibilities for private lessons and personal training may include:
-developing fitness regiments for students based off of student’s goals and needs
-maintaining equipment
-performing an hour of fitness instruction
-making classes fun and accessible for students.
Mandatory requirements for this position include:
- experience working with children
-experience teaching and practicing parkour
-STRONG communication skills (new classes and clients require prompt and efficient communication, therefore we put a very strong emphasis on coaches being able to communicate through text and email quickly, so that new classes can be coordinated).
-strong interpersonal skills
-a fun and an approachable attitude
-strong professionalism
-a valid vaccine and booster card
Each coach has the opportunity to work in whichever platforms they choose, from private training to birthday parties.
Coaches who can teach/work multiple subjects and classes will be given top priority, as this will allow them to teach more classes.
This position is an independent contractor position.
This means coaches are free to make their own hours, and can work as many or as little hours per week as they choose.
This also means that we do not hold taxes in payments.
