Long Term Substitute Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as a Long-Term Substitute Montessori Teacher in the absence of our lead Montessori Teacher.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment, ensuring the continued implementation of Montessori principles, and effectively communicating with both students and parents.
This position also involves some administrative responsibilities and requires strong computer skills.
Key Responsibilities: *Classroom Leadership:*Lead and facilitate daily classroom activities in accordance with Montessori philosophy and curriculum.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student independence and exploration.
Ensure the seamless continuation of the lead teacher's lesson plans and routines.
*Communication:*Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and classroom activities.
Respond promptly to parent inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to ensure effective communication within the school community.
*Technology Proficiency:*Demonstrate proficiency in using computers and educational technology tools.
*Administration:*Assume some administrative responsibilities in the absence of the lead teacher.
Collaborate with school administrators on tasks such as record-keeping, data entry, and other administrative duties.
Contribute to the maintenance of a well-organized and efficient classroom environment.
*Professional Development:*Stay updated on best practices in Montessori education and early childhood development.
Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and continuously improve teaching practices.
Qualifications: * Minimum of 12 early childhood education units.
* Substantial experience working in a Montessori environment.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to independently manage a classroom.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using computers and educational technology.
* Comfortable assuming some administrative responsibilities.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
