Paraprofessional/ 1:1 Role: (MON-FRI: 8:15-3:00) -Will work under the Education Specialist/ Supervised by Ed.
Specialist (SPED teacher provides daily schedule and plans) -Will work with students with a range of disabilities (Tk-8th Grade) -Will support students to reach academic/ behavior goals stated on their IEP (through pushing in / co-teaching and pull out services) -Will take notes and observations on students, to support the SPED teacher with planning instruction and supports -Will be flexible with their day: working with different students and dealing with different behaviors (must be comfortable with handling varieties of maladaptive behavior and implementing behavior plans and strategies- ABA strategies) -Willing/ experience in some or many of grades TK-8th grade -Attend weekly meetings and attend school Professional Developments -Willing to toilet / assist with bathroom needs (if needed) -Qualities: Organization skills/ responsible/ independent/ quick in responding to situations/ good communication skills/ professionalism Requirements: -Must have experience with working with students with disabilities (AUT/ Down Syndrome/ Learning Disabilities/ Health Impairments) -ABA Background (desired, not mandatory) -Must be available to work 5 days a week and sign on knowing breach of attendance in contract could result in being placed on a 30 day performance improvement plan, and could lead to being dismissed -Two Years of college OR Associates Degree -Knowledge of skills in assisting instruction OR passed CBEST Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Salary: $21.
