*Our academy seeks to fill multiple teaching/tutoring positions for our Spring Semester.
* * *Basketball Coach* We seek positive, confident, and energetic teachers to join our team and make a lasting contribution to our team effort.
*Essential Duties* * The lead coach will coach and instruct players in the sport's rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques.
* Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises.
* Assess players’ skills, monitor players during competition and practice, and keep the basketball program director informed of students’ athletic performance.
* Assist in determining game strategy.
* Assist the basketball director with supervising athletes during practices and competitions.
* Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
* Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
* Maintain the equipment room orderly and assume responsibility for its security.
* Distribute equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach.
* Perform support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
* Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
*Requirements* * Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
* Must possess the ability to independently manage a team of 12 students (5-14 years old) *Work Schedule (This class is intended to be a Group Class)* ● Part-Time Schedule ● Spring Semester – 01/08/2024 to 05/31/2024, no class during spring break (April 1 to April 5) ● Tuesday- 5:30 to 7:00 pm ● Friday- 3:30 to 6:30 pm ● Saturday- 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm and 2:30 to 6:00 pm *Location* ● 4947 Alton Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92604 *Pay* ● $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.
