POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Sports and Fitness Director, will perform pickleball/fitness activities and supervise participants of various ages.
They teach a variety of classes currently offered within the YMCA Fitness Program.
Instructors are responsible for developing individual lesson plans, being familiar with various styles of class formats offered, supervising class participants, and leading instructional sessions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
Prepare and implement daily class curriculum.
Ensure curriculum aligns with YMCA values and standards.
Implement all components of programs offered including daily attendance, identifying participant needs instructing pickleball class, ensure the safety of participants during class instruction.
Be accessible to program participants as necessary to: support the development and delivery of fitnessprograms, have good communication with participants and staff, and assist in the responsibility of the success of promotions for programs and special events.
Ensure that facilities meet the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and are supervised at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and efficiency of the facility and any athletic/fitness equipment.
Inform immediate Director of any equipment defects or scheduled maintenance needs.
Act as the liaison with facility Administration and YMCA Administration, promote YMCA sports/fitness/athletic programs to best reach targeted population, and promote program participation in community through personal contacts and public agencies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours: Part Time/Non Exempt
Wages:$20.
00 to $25.
00 per hour

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years or older.
Must have at least some experience working with youth or adults instructing sports or fitness activities.
Experience in creating group exercise class curriculum.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred.
Must have, or be willing to receive, First Aid and CPR Certification classes within the first 3 months of employment and keep current as a condition ofcontinued employment.
Must submit to and comply with all requirements for employment including, but not limited to, a criminal background check, drug/alcohol testing, health screening, TB test.
