The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), invites applications for two tenure‐track Assistant Professor positions to begin in the fall 2024 academic semester.

Position The ideal candidate for this position should be able to successfully teach various upper-division undergraduate and graduate courses related to information systems (IS).
Depending on the candidate’s capabilities and the needs of the Department, such courses may include artificial intelligence/machine learning for business, blockchain technologies, business databases, business intelligence, business networks, data mining, data transformation, data warehousing, enterprise systems, geographic information systems, information security, IS management, IT project management, marketing analytics, programming concepts, systems analysis & design, etc.
Current ISDS faculty are active researchers in a variety of areas relating to information systems, data science, and operations management, and candidates must therefore have a clear research agenda with the potential for high-quality scholarly publications.
Positive tenure and promotion decisions require a strong record of research.
The successful candidate will also be expected to advise students, serve on committees, contribute to and participate in the life and development of the Department, and participate in the broader University and disciplinary communities.
Required Qualifications Applicants must have (or expect to receive before the effective date of appointment) a doctoral degree with a primary area of study in Information Systems or a closely related field such as Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Cognitive / Behavioral Science, Decision Science, or Business Analytics.
Demonstrated experience in or potential for excellence in teaching a variety of upper-division undergraduate and graduate courses.
Teaching responsibilities will focus primarily on IS-related topics, but this may evolve according to the candidate’s capabilities and the Department’s needs.
Demonstrated record of or potential for conducting high-quality IS research.
Demonstrated commitment to effectively interact with and successfully teach students from intersecting marginalized social groups.
Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited business school or prior record of success at an AACSB-accredited business school.
Technical skills in areas such as programming, AI/machine learning, databases, or related business technologies.

Compensation The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary range is $5,405 to $11,994 monthly (12 monthly payments per academic year).
The anticipated hiring range is $9,540 to $9,743 per month.
Salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
In addition, the California Equal Pay Act prohibits employers from paying its employees less than those of the opposite sex and/or another race or ethnicity for substantially similar work ( Summer research grants, moving expenses, start‐up funds, and a reduced teaching load may be available.
