Montessori School in Irvine: Infant & Preschool Assistant Teacher (Irvine)

We are an established Montessori School in Irvine which serves children from infants through 2nd Grade.
Milestones Montessori of Irvine is looking for a full-time Assistant Teacher in two classrooms: -Infant Room (4-month to 24-month old classroom) -Preschool Room (2.
9 years- 5 years old classroom), must have a minimum of 6 Early Education Units Candidates must be passionate about this age and interested in being part of a team of quality early childhood educators.
Position is Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
Prospective applicants preferably have a strong child development background, infants through preschool, and at least 12 core units with completed Infant/Toddler units.
Responsibilities and Duties *Stimulates emotional, intellectual, and social growth of children by encouraging their interests, investigations, through questions and exploration.
*Encourages children's participation by providing interactive emergent activities.
*Provides a safe environment.
*Works well in a team teaching environment, is able to follow instruction and is able to take initiative in getting classroom duties/responsibilities done.
*Maintains center's professional status by understanding and following policies and procedures.
*Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
