Strategic Kids Chess Instructors teach elementary or middle school students after school how to play chess!
EXPERIENCE
Enjoying and knowing how to play chess! Applicants must like being around children and have experience working or volunteering with children, such as babysitting or helping in classrooms.
PAY RATE
$23 per hour, plus 30 minutes for set up and clean up at each school site
WORK HOURS
* Days and times vary, 3 to 4 days per week, 5 to 15 hours per week
* Most Chess Classes are 60 minutes.

MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT
Chess Instructors earn $10 per day minimum for mileage.
Anything over 15 miles, one way from your home to your assigned school is $15 per work day.
Anything over 20 miles, one way from your home to your assigned school is $20 per work day.
CHARACTER TRAITS
Strategic Kids hires staff that are positive, joyful, flexible, responsible, on-time, and willing to drive to any assigned school site.
REQUIREMENTS
> 18 years old or older
> Speak English
> Have a reliable car to drive to assigned school(s)
> Live within 20 - 25 miles from assigned school(s)
> Pass Live Scan Fingerprints (paid for by Strategic Kids)
SUMMER WORK
After finishing the 2023-24 school year, there will be opportunities to work during the summer throughout Orange County.
