The CNC router is one of our shop's most versatile and useful machines.
Learn to use it well and you can scale your manufacturing processes, do high-end paid work for clients, and experiment in woodworking or plastics in ways that are difficult or sometimes impossible to do by hand.
The precision and repeatability of the router mean you get the same cuts every time.
However, the process can be overwhelming if you are new to CNC, or just new to CNC routing.
This 9-hour course will teach you everything you need to know to gain the confidence and ability to use our 4′ x 8′ Laguna CNC router.
We are going to walk you through what a CNC router is, how to set it up, design considerations, router bits, CAD modeling, CAM and toolpaths, feeds and speeds, and so much more as you make your very first CNC part from scratch.
You do the modeling.
You do the toolpaths.
You press the buttons.
We’re just here to help guide you.
This course meets 3 consecutive days.
Students who complete this course are signed off to use the Laguna CNC router whenever they like as members.
