Position Description:
Job title: Art Expressions Coordinator
Classification: Non-Exempt
Hourly Salary: $17-$19 per Hour
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 11:15 pm - 6:15 pm, Some nights and weekends, Potential for more hours as well.
Reports to: Bluebird Branch Director
Location: Bluebird Branch

Primary Function: Under the direct supervision of the Branch Director, the Art Expressions Coordinator will implement, plan, safe, creative, educational and fun activities and supervise club members, will evaluate programs and activities provided within the ARTS Program areas.
These will include throughout the program calendar year fine arts, crafts, dance, drama productions, performances, recitals, exhibitions, talent shows and festivals.
Will promote and build relationships with community artisans, and include LBUSD and LCAD staff from assigned schools to foster collaboration with teaching methods and scheduling of arts programs and activities.
Will attend team meetings with all arts staff, Canyon team once a quarter; will ensure all programs are aligned and prepared for growth and success.
Recognize and celebrate youth development success daily and monthly participating with BGCA specialized competitions and recognition programs.
Key Roles:
Prepare Youth for Success: Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes: Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
Promote 40 Developmental Assets and PLAYWorks.
Program Development and Implementation: Effectively implement and administer Formula For Impact programs, services and activities and strategies for Club members and visitors:

ImageMakers National Photography Program
3.
Drama Matters Afterschool Program
4.
BGCLB Art Programs and Activities (Nature Exhibit, Sawdust Festival, Music, etc.
)
5.
Guide special events (drama program, open houses, family fun nights, etc.
in collaboration with BGCLB Leadership Team
6.
Participate as requested by Volunteer Coordinator with club members activities and support
Assist to train, supervise and evaluate volunteers, staff and club members as assigned
Monitor and evaluate programs and services to ensure safety of members, quality of programs and appearance of the facility at all times.
Prepare weekly/monthly calendars that offer a variety of activities, thematic to the season and delivered to supervisor in a timely manner.
Reviews the Yearly Program Calendar on a monthly basis to ensure updates and included and revisions are posted.
Supervision of Membership: Sets and maintains appropriate standards of behavior using positive reinforcement while supporting children's self-esteem.
Operational Management: Vision Tracking Program Input/Outcomes & Measurements in partnership with Branch Director.
Complete OJP Mentoring assignments as directed by Branch Director.
Completes housekeeping assignments as directed.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
2 years of supervisory experience working with children
Bachelor's from an accredited college or university, preferred or equivalent experience in Fine Arts
Knowledge of youth development practices and strategies
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
Established communication skills, both oral and written
Good computer literacy with multiple computer applications
