*Olam Jewish Montessori Early Childhood Center* was founded as the first Jewish Montessori preschool of Orange County, California.

The Infant/Toddler Assistant provides quality primary care giving for infants or toddlers in a safe and supervised early care and educational setting; promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children enrolled in the program, follows agency policies, procedures and other applicable Federal and State regulations to successfully support the Montessori philosophy and goals.
*Responsibilities include:*
* Friendly and cooperative with each child and family.
* Promote parent-child bonding and nurturing parent-child relationships.
* Promote feelings of security and trust in infants and toddlers.
* Talks, sings, and reads to infants.
* Attentive to children's personal hygiene needs, during routines such as diaper changing, cleaning, feeding, and changing soiled or wet clothes.
* Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings to plan for lessons and infant/toddler curriculum.
* Support primary teachers with ongoing observations and communicating with parents about their child’s development.
* Actively participates in group planning of individualized activities.
* Responsible for ensuring proper care and supervision and maintaining visual supervision of children in the classroom and the playground.
*Education and Qualifications:*
* At least 3 units in Infant/Toddler ECE and at least 12 ECE credits total (if course has not been completed, it must be completed within the first year of employment).
* Associates or related degree a plus
* Training and experience in the principles of infant/toddler development.
* Complete pre-employment Physical exam and TB Clearance
* Complete background check (LiveScan)
* Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
* Adherence to the Child Abuse Reporting Mandate.
* Required to lift and or move up to 45 pounds as well as sit, stand, walk, climb or balance; kneel, crouch, bend, twist and reach with hands and arms.
*Experience:*
* preschool children: 1 year (preferred)
* working with infants/toddlers: 1 year (preferred)
*Education:*
* Associate or related degree (preferred but not required)
* 12 ECE units total and 3 Inf/Toddler ECE Units required.
*License:*
* First Aid CPR /AED (must be completed within the first three months of employment).
We reimburse for CPR classes taken.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.
