A brief description of our lead teachers’ responsibilities will include:
-Creating activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children through well-defined interest areas.
-Ensuring all policies and procedures to keep the children healthy and safe are being implemented.
-Develop, plan, and prepare instructional aids and/or materials for classroom activities.
- Ensure that the physical, social, and emotional needs of the children are met daily.
-Assist children with mealtimes and cleanup.
- Ensure that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.
- Direct activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner.
- Interact with parents and maintain open communication to encourage family engagement.
- The minimum requirements for this position include:
-*12 ECE units (Lead teachers),* *Infant/ toddler units required*
-At least 6 months experience in a licensed childcare center
-Current CPR and First Aid Certification and Mandated Reporter Training (renewed every 2 years)
