Job Description
CHILDCARE ATTENDANT
MISSION
To personally contribute to the Kid's World team goal of providing fun, educational and caring childcare services to the children of members and guests, in a safe, warm and welcoming environment.
Build rapport with and take a genuine interest in all children and parents utilizing the club’s childcare services.
To participate in everyday activities such as organizing arts and crafts time, leading games, reading stories and singing songs.
To promote the club’s youth programs and activities, and assist parents in program registration.
To help keep Kid's World facilities and equipment clean, neat and well maintained.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and care for children in the center
Perform regular duties of assigned “station” (gate, baby room, craft area, etc.
)
Engage children in activities and active play
Treat all children fairly, but pay special attention to newcomers, shy children, physically or mentally challenged children, or others with special needs
Ensure environment is safe, clean, organized and well-maintained; perform daily “housekeeping” duties
Know and enforce all Kid's World policies consistently and fairly
Know and follow all Kid's World operational procedures
Know ClubSport’s standards for Facility and Member Service Walkthroughs and Core Value Quick Checks for the Child Care department, and help ensure they are followed
Assist in leading arts, crafts, story time, play and other activities
Ensure proper check in and check out procedures are followed (with hourly, late and diaper fees collected as applicable)
Establish rapport with children and parents; show genuine interest
Be knowledgeable of all junior programming available and be able to explain and promote these programs to members (in person or over the phone)
Assist in transporting children to and from studio for kids’ classes
Take proper care of all Kid's World property, equipment and supplies
Other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Junior Programming Director

Bend, lift and carry babies, children, supplies, toys, equipment
Set-up and take-down light equipment
Project voice across crowded, noisy room
Assist children on play and climbing apparatus
