Assistant Child Care Directors work with the Director to run an afterschool program for school age children (5-12 years of age).

*What you need to apply:*
* Experience working with children ages 5-12 years of age, in an after school program setting.
* 12 college units with 6 units in Child Development, Education or related field & 6 units in Psychology, Sociology, Recreation, Physical Education, Art, Music, or related field.
3 units or 60 training hours in Administration required or must be enrolled in Administration class within 6 months of hire.
* Based on minimum education, experience would range between 1-4 years.

*Licensing Option 1: *Education & Certifications: EMSA First Aid & EMSA CPR Certification, 15 college units accepted by licensing (3 units in Child Development, and 3 units or 60 training hours in Administration, and 9 units or 180 training hours in Recreation, Elementary Education or related field) required.
*Licensing Option 2: *Education & Certifications: 2 year college degree in related field, EMSA First Aid & EMSA CPR Certification, 15 college units accepted by licensing (3 units in Child Development, and 3 units or 60 training hours in Administration, and 9 units or 180 training hours in Recreation, Elementary Education or related field) required.
*Licensing Option 3: *Education & Certifications: 4 year college degree in related field, EMSA First Aid & EMSA CPR Certification, 15 college units accepted by licensing (3 units in Child Development, and 3 units or 60 training hours in Administration, and 9 units or 180 training hours in Recreation, Elementary Education or related field) required.
*Licensing Option 4: *A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or a Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
*Experience & Background:*
*Licensing Option 1*: Must be at least 21 years of age.
4 years of experience working with children, previous supervision of staff, and completion of all requirements for 16 hour Preventative Health Practices required.
*Licensing Option 2*: Must be at least 21 years of age.
2 years of experience working with children, previous supervision of staff, and completion of all requirements for 16 hour Preventative Health Practices required.
*Licensing Option 3*: Must be at least 21 years of age.
1 year of experience working with children, previous supervision of staff, and completion of all requirements for 16 hour Preventative Health Practices required.
